Then lets consider Australia the fourth largest island. Third being Antarctica, second being America, and first being Eurasia/Africa. Who in the world decides what is an island, what is a continent, and what is a rock? Are Asia and Europe two continents or is Eurasia one? The Aussie’s outburst is specious and self-righteous.

What a moronic website – please – Australia IS an ISLAND to display the logic of it is also a continent does not preclude it from being an Island – quite retarded.

Secondly your presumption that the continent is Austalia and not even consider the reality that the continent is more aptly termed OCEANIA or AUSTRALASIA – but not even mention these facts as they contrast with your preconceived opinions.

So under any definition Australia is an Island – is also a rock, a country, MAYBE a continent, a former colony, part of the commonwealth etc,etc,etc but NONE of these preclude it from being an ISLAND -

There’s no easy to begin a new island… So I imagine someday to begin my own island into the international waters nearly in the mid of the ocean, but not over the ocean ridge because it’s dangerous (I mean volcano or earthquake activities). I’ll need a lot of maney (if possible) to begin some big machines and extract earth and big rocks from somewhere, for example, the ocean floor. Please e mail me and tell me if I need a psichiatry’s help! I think about that too… I’m living (or surviving) in Sao Paulo – Brazil. What You think about it ???? [ ny_lover1980@hotmail.com ]
